AFFORDABLE HOUSING

The affordable housing mission of GCDC is to increase the supply of affordable housing in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Through effective homebuyer and mortgage assistance programs, and successful leveraging of public and private funding, GCDC has established itself as a respected and innovative nonprofit organization serving low- and moderate- income individuals and families, with an emphasis on the city of Easton, PA.

This mission is expressed through two community-based initiatives: GCDC’s Shiloh Estates and Shiloh Commons. Please click below for more information on both initiatives.

GSC COMMUNITY SHOWERS

Greater Shiloh Church launched a shower program designed to address the needs of the region’s homeless and transient population.

Made possible with $30,000 from Northampton County and $12,000 raised by the congregation, the community showers are located at 201 Brother Thomas Bright, Easton, an area easily reachable by the target population.

The goal is to provide a sanitary and respectful environment where people experiencing homelessness and transiency can access necessary hygiene services. We believe that providing shower facilities can help these individuals regain a sense of dignity, self-esteem, and optimism for a better tomorrow.

RESTORATION CENTER

Greater Shiloh Church in partnership with COHMAR, a mental health treatment organization, will offer forensic mental health and supportive services to individuals who are involved in the judicial system as an alternative to being incarcerated.
